Fresno Master Gardeners to Host Smart Gardening Conference

A full range of subjects especially prepared for the home gardener is being offered.  Choose from breakout sessions that include topics such as Cool Tips for Gardening in Hot Climates, Landscaping with Herbs, and Hardpan or Sand—Growing Healthy Soil.   Speakers range from Master Gardeners and UC scientists to professionals, well-known in their field.  

The entire suite of conference rooms at the Ramada will be used for breakout sessions throughout the day.   Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to take advantage of vendors featuring gardening products and services and to benefit from gardening organization information booths.  The concluding general session will include a presentation by two Monrovia representatives and a drawing for garden-themed door prizes. 




Master Gardeners encourage sustainable use of resources and integrated pest management practices, which will be featured at the conference.  The conference is co-sponsored by Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District.
